ADVANCED RIDERCOURSE
Total fee: $215, tax included
Learn how to improve your ride with the Advanced RiderCourse (ARC). If you are an endorsed rider comfortable with your own motorcycle and have over 1,000 miles of experience riding it, you may be ready to go beyond the basics at the State 8 Rider Education Center, the first and only training site in NE Ohio certified to offer the Advanced RiderCourse.
The ARC is a 9-hour course designed to enhance the experienced rider’s basic skills, assist with personal risk assessment, and introduce the next level of riding techniques. The ARC features a fast-paced morning classroom with interactive activities designed to improve perception and hazard awareness. Afternoon range exercises strengthen basic skills, improve crash avoidance maneuvers, and fine-tune alternative braking and cornering techniques. Passengers are NOT permitted.
The ARC features a small-group, discussion-oriented classroom covering the following topics: Cornering, Braking and Swerving, Safety and Risk, Rider Perception, Rider Behavior and Risk Offset. Range exercises include: Basic Control, Quick Stops, Stopping Demonstration, Curve Adjustments, Cornering and Swerving, Multiple Curves, Decreasing Radius Curves, Gap Analysis and Safety Margins, all under the guidance of professional coaches.
